Booking terms and conditions

Timing
Welcome to Campsie View. Periods of let normally start from 4 p.m. on Saturdays and expire at 10 a.m. on the last Saturday of the period let. Short breaks are possible by arrangement; this may be difficult during peak times although we will try to assist you whenever possible.
(Please notify the office if you intend to arrive after 7pm).

Confirming your reservation
A reservation is regarded as binding only when:
(a) confirmed to the proprietors by email, phone or in writing.
(b) the required deposit of 25% per week per chalet is paid.
(c) written or email acknowledgement thereof is dispatched by the proprietors.

Booking your Holiday
To book a property, use the online secure booking facility or alternatively we will hold provisional booking for up to seven days until we receive your payment for deposit. You may also book by phone 0044(0)1360 660008 or fax 0044(0)1360 660108.

Deposit
The initial payment is 25% of the total hire charge and may be paid by cheque (payable to Campsie View Ltd), cash, credit card Mastercard, Visa, Solo Maestro and Delta. Please note there is a 2% charge for credit card transactions. Debit cards have no surcharge.
To assist visitors from overseas we will also accept Swift payment (international bank transfer). Any bank charges incurred will be payable by the hirer. Please phone 0044 (0)1360 660008 or email for details.

Payment for your holiday
The balance of the rental price must be paid in full to the proprietors six weeks before arrival.
The Lessor may treat the booking as cancelled if the balance of the hire charge is not sent by this date.

Insurance
A reservation is a binding contract between proprietors and guests. Once a booking has been confirmed, you are liable for the whole cost of the holiday. Without prejudice to the proprietors, in the event of cancellation every reasonable effort to relet will be made. Should the Proprietors not be successful, an invoice to the amount of the full rent will be rendered in accordance with accepted practice. The liability for cancellation may be covered by Insurance, and we request that you do so for your own protection.

Good Housekeeping Deposit
We have in the past had our accommodation not a good condition by previous hirers. This unfortunately means we now have to levee a good housekeeping deposit of £50 when the balance of the booking is taken.

Clients are asked to leave their accommodation and its contents clean and tidy when vacating. When this happens we refund the good housekeeping deposit.
Turn round times can be quite short on Saturdays and if Campsie View is left in a poor condition this makes the task very much more difficult. Over and above dirt, other items such as fat left in pots and pans or unknown breakages are very time-consuming to fix. All damages or breakages of the fittings, utensils, crockery or cutlery should be reported to reception and will have to be charged for.

Equipment
The property is furnished and equipped to cater for the stated permitted occupancy and includes pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, iron and ironing board.

Linen
All properties are supplied with pillows, (two per person) duvets and bed linen. Towels are not included in the price, but may be hired from us at £5 per set.

Cots
Cots may be hired at £7 per week.

Dogs
Dogs are by prior arrangement only, and must not be allowed on furniture or in bedrooms, must not be left unattended, and must be kept under strict control. A charge of £10 per pet will be incurred.

Smoking
Smoking is not allowed in any part of the building. We have provided safe sand receptacles outside for all our guests. Please do not leave cigarette butts lying on the ground, they look unsightly and we are concerned about the fire risk they present.

Green issues
We have three types of bin.
1. One takes carboard (brown bins)
2. One takes recyclable plastic / unbroken glass / paper (blue bins)
3. The other takes all other waste (grey bins)
